Crisis in Libya
By SS Juwita
The North Koreans have been oppressed by their government since ages but no countries would like to step in front and bail them out. They have no proper education, food and they are being forced to work in concentration camps .In my opinion, Muammar Gaddafi is far better person than Kim Jong Il. Just that the Libyans are tired of his oppression and things got worst and it leads to a civil war. But why we need NATO and the US to intervene this issue? Is there a big humanitarian crisis in Libya? How many millions of Libyans died because of famine and starvation?
In North Korea, 3.5 millions deaths were reported since 1990s due to starvation. This is not a rocket science. It is always about that black liquid called Oil. It doesn’t make any sense when a group of people trying to overcome oppression from their ruling government and suddenly stuck in the middle of collateral damage from foreign countries. The willingness of USAF and NATO to deliver high precision ammunitions that was being delivered by highly advanced weapon platforms such as the B-2, Rafale and Eurofighter, not to mention the good old reliable tomahawks that were being used to knock out communications infrastructure that cost billions of dollars or euros in order to free Libya from tyranny.
What about the people in North Korea, who will help and free them from long time oppression? Why Kim Jong Il dictatorship still intact and he can do whatever he wants to his own people? What about human rights? The internal struggle in Libya and Egypt show that the people power still exists. But when it comes to state sovereignty, this people need to unite and fight against foreign invasion whether it is directly or indirectly. Military aid won’t come cheap. The Libyans should ask their comrades in Iraq, the Iraqis should know better about this.
